Meeting Requirements and Boosting Efficiency

When Vastar Agro first encountered Kinze at a farm show in 2017, they were instantly interested. The Kinze 3600 Planter proved to be the perfect solution for their needs. With a planting width of 9 meters and a planting speed of 9 km/h (speeds of 19 km/h are possible depending on configuration), the planter could cover up to 70 hectares per day, ensuring efficient and rapid planting operations.

Reliability and Durability

For any planter, reliability is crucial, and the Kinze 3600 exceeded Vastar Agro’s expectations. The machine’s robust build proved tough, even under demanding conditions. Despite some small items, the planter’s overall performance and longevity has been impressive, surpassing that of other planters by a considerable margin.

Embracing Split Row Technology

In 2021, Vastar Agro decided to venture into wheat plantings for the first time, employing the Split Row technology offered by Kinze. The decision paid off significantly, with 120 hectares of wheat planted using this method. Utilizing a seeding rate of approximately 1.5 million seeds per hectare, the productivity ranged from 5 to 5.5 tons per hectare. Surprisingly, no fertilizers were used, highlighting the efficiency of the Kinze planter.

Optimizing Seed Rates and Fertilization

Vastar Agro further experimented with different seed rates and fertilization strategies, tailoring them to suit specific crop types and environmental conditions. With the Kinze planter’s ability to turn off unneeded rows, they managed to save seeds effectively, minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.

Advantages of Planting Cereals with Kinze

One of the primary benefits Vastar Agro observed in using the Kinze 3600 Planter was saving seed. Additionally, the planter excelled in depth control, a crucial factor when planting different crops at precise depths. The 35 cm row-spacing created ample room for wind circulation between rows, promoting healthier plant growth and reducing the likelihood of diseases.

Crop Diversification and Continued Success

Through the use of the Kinze 3600, Vastar Agro expanded its crop diversity, encompassing sunflower, corn, winter wheat, winter barley, and rapeseed across approximately 1200 hectares of land. With careful experimentation and data-driven decision-making, the company managed to optimize seed rates and fertilization strategies for each crop, resulting in consistent and sustainable yields.

Vastar Agro’s success story with the Kinze 3600 Planter stands as a testament to the importance of innovation and precision in modern agriculture. The planter’s reliability, efficiency, and flexibility have allowed Vastar Agro to achieve remarkable productivity while saving costs on seeds and fertilizers. As they continue to harness the potential of this cutting-edge technology, Vastar Agro sets an example for other agricultural enterprises seeking to embrace advanced planting solutions and optimize crop yields.
